Movie Terminology and Jargon!!! pt 1.
Hah, ble kte dah aktif blek nie.. rajin r pulak nak post thing dlm blog nie. Tp antara sebab lain adalah mental dan fizikal aku dh diguna 100% utk audition for Fixi just now.. memang x r klau nk draw another page.
Hari nie seperti yang korang tgk kt tajuk aku tue.. aku nk ckp pasal movie terminology and jargon. Huh? Terminology tue apa? dia xde kne mengena ngan terminal 1 mahupun terminator mahupun termite. Apa? Jargon pun x tau gak? Yg nie plak xde kne mengena ngan Jagung mahupun Jaguh. Tapi kedua - dua perkataan nie; terminologi dan jargon nie ada maksud yang sama iaitu ( SALIN! SALIN! BLEH GUNA DALAM KARANGAN NI) istilah istimewa yang digunakan hanya utk sesuatu perkara itu saja...more or less tue r maksud dia.
Terminologi yang aku sentuh hari ini adalah yang digunakan dalam movie. Mesti korang pernah dengar perkataan2 nie disebut oleh "movie-freak" kt luar sana tue kn? Perkataan cm remake, reboot, prequel, sequel, interquel, trilogy, duology, bla.. bla.. Dan aku sure at certain time korang akan ABSOLUTELY blur ngan apa yang diorang ckp. Jadi hari nie aku akan tolong korang utk explain what the heck is all this thing means so korang xde r serabut andaikata boifren or gurlfren korang tetbe sebut words tue.
Jadi, utk first part, term (ringkasan kpd terminologi) yang aku nak touch ialah the "... + logi" dan the "...+ quel"
1. Duologi.
Duologi bermaksud sesuatu movie yang ada dua series. Paling jarang diguna sbb most of the movie sekarang nie target for three series. Still ,korang leh jumpa this kind of term diguna dlm movie jepun. Antara movie yang boleh diletak term nie cm Crow Zero, yang ada dua series; Crow Zero dan Crow Zero II.
2. Trilogi.
Trilogi nie ble movie tue added up to three series. Of course tipikal movie follower akan tau term nie sbb dh widely used. Antara movie yg. aku bleh list kan ada kne mengena ngan term nie; X-Men ( Tidak termasuk X-Men: First Class), Spiderman Sam Raimi version, Transformers, Lord of The Ring, dan Christopher Nolan's Batman movie.
3. Quadriologi.
Quadriologi -maybe for certain ordinary movie follower nak sebut benda nie pun lidah dh berbelit- adalah ble movie tue masuk empat siri which for now pun dh mula jadi trend. Term nie pun baru - baru je wujud. Antara filem yang tergolong dalam keluarga ni adalah; Pirate of Caribbean, The Bourne, dan Indiana Jones.
4. Tetralogi.
Hah, nie paling terbaik!! Sebab nie ble movie tue ada series yang lebih dari empat. X byk movie yang tergolong dlm nie so term nie sgt JARANG korang dgr tp klau "Movie-freak" mmg ada yg akan gne term nie. Contoh mudah movie yg ber- "tetralogi" ; Star Wars ngan Harry Potter r.
5. Sequel.
Klau ikutkan klau aku x citer pun pasal term nie xpe sbb nie dh common sgt dh. Sequel ialah senang citer sambungan kpd movie yang sme. Contohnya sequel Iron Man ialah Iron Man 2. Sequel kpd Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen ialah Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon. So aku rse korang mmg senang nak faham benda nie.
6. Prequel.
Maybe certain antara orang yg. paham dan certain tue buat- buat paham. Prequel ialah ble the next movie yang keluar after the previous movie is about what happen before the previous movie. Contoh paling senang? Star Wars r... the first three movie yang keluar (Episode I, Episode II, dan Episode III)after the previous trilogi (Episode IV, Episode V, dan Episode VI)tue sebenarnya sequence of what happen before the previous movie. Another one is Paranormal Activity 2, adalah citer yg. jadi before Paranormal Activity 1. So, tue r prequel.
7. Interquel.
Huh? Amende nie? Hah, nie complicated sket dan x byak lg movie yang begitu berani nk buat stail nie. Maybe ada r dua tiga contoh. Interkuel ialah hanya berlaku ble movie tue at least is a trilogi sbb Interkuel ialah ble the movie is happened after the first movie but before the second movie. Phm x? Jangan risau aku ada contoh;

Kemudian, diorang continue ngan Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift which xde kne mengena pun dengan first two movie except Dom's cameo at the end. Few years later, they came out lak ngan Fast and Furious yang tetbe goes back to the original story between Dom dan Brian. Tapi apa yang korang x tau ialah the fourth movie is actually happen after 2 Fast 2 Furious but before Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. So, Fast and Furious tuelah Interkuel of 2 Fast 2 Furious dan Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. Fast Five tue sequel Fast and Furious je so xde r complicated sgt...
Korang paham x? Klau korang x phm ada baiknya korang baca SLOW - SLOW sbb this is the best example yang aku bleh bg. Another Interkuel ialah Star Wars: The Clone Wars yang happen after Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clone, tapi before Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith.
